Good Not Great This coop is good for up to 3 birds but needs modifications. I had to put a piece of aluminum siding on the top to hang over the nesting box because it leaked when it rained. The ramp needs better traction so I added some slats across it and shortened it by about 4 inches so the birds could hit ground before they hit the wire fence. It is not very roomy under the coop. I think its better suited for smaller chickens. The door that slides open to let the bird out gets filled with shavings so I am adding a flip up door with latch. The hardware is starting to rust and its only a month old but were in WA and get a lot of rain. The hinges that hold the lid open are light duty and will need to be replaced with medium to heavy duty. I love how easy it is to get in the nest box even with the added siding for the roof, it does not obstruct it at all. I love how the top opens up it makes it easy to feed and water. The ventilation seems to be fine for humidity. I like that I can just open the…

Good little coop We put the coop together very easily and quickly. There’s a strong chemical/wood smell that we aired out prior to adding hens. The coop has more than enough room for our 4 bantam hens. They all sleep and snuggle in one box but have plenty of room to run, play and eat in the rest of coop and the run area below. I like the latches as they are fine hardware and sturdy for extended use and durability. Purchased a tarp to keep out a drip that enters the nesting box. I knew this might be an issue from a previous review and was prepared to accommodate. The coop is light enough and mobile enough to rotate throughout the yard. We feed them egg booster feed, dried meal worms and seeds as well as fresh water and use pet bedding from the Tractor Supply store. We are enjoying our coop for its perfect size for our small suburban yard as well as its ability to let us experience and experiment for our first time as chicken keepers.
